One of my A level final pieces. Faustus summoning Mepostophilis.
(Mepistophilis)’ Now, Faustus, hwat wouldst thou have me do?’

Those samples arrived, but they were too small to use for the cover of my book. I put them in the book with pages too themselves instead. Designs include Trelis, Golden lily, Pimpernel and Fruit, all original.
Bookbinding! I’ve been teaching myself (with the help of Gemma Wheeler http://nicehotcupoftea.tumblr.com/ ). Here are my two first attempts. I’m very pleased with the floral one, very little wrong with that (although the little brown one… well take a look for yourselves). Discovered that wallpaper paste does not make a good glue for covering.
William Morris update…
I’ve just ordered some free wallpaper samples from Morris & Co, I’ll use them as a cover for my A2 sketchbook, the deadline is the 14th and I hope they get here on time (and are big enough- I have no idea how big they will be). I’ll keep you updated on this vital information.
